Collect 1 Million Items Abilities

Abilities are bought with Gems, and Gems are slow — drops, the Gem Dealer and codes. A roll is random, so the useful question is not which ability is strongest but which problem you are trying to solve. This page lists what each one does, which one answers which problem, and the fact the developer does not publish the roll odds.

Reference

Every ability, and what it moves

Each row is what the ability does to items, where it comes from, and the moment it earns its slot. Nothing here is ranked against anything else, because these do not share one measurable axis.

  • Sustained push

    Conveyor

Lays a one-way band that keeps carrying whatever touches it toward The Void, so items move while you are not pushing.

    Where it comes from
    Gem Roll
    Reach for it when
You want to stop hand-pushing and let the platform clear itself.
  • Sustained push

    Golden Conveyor

The upgraded Conveyor: wider coverage and a higher void conversion value on everything it carries.

    Where it comes from
Robux game pass, or an extremely rare roll
    Reach for it when
Conveyor is already your main clear and you want the same loop to pay more.
  • Wide burst

    Wave

Sends a wide wave forward and clears a whole band of the pile at once.

    Where it comes from
    Gem Roll
    Reach for it when
Items have stacked up into a wall and one push cannot move the front of it.
  • Line burst

    Gust

Blows a straight line of items in front of you into The Void.

    Where it comes from
    Gem Roll
    Reach for it when
Items are strung out in a line rather than piled up.
  • Passive gather

    Magnet

Pulls scattered items in toward your pusher face so the next sweep catches them.

    Where it comes from
    Gem Roll
    Reach for it when
Items are spread across the platform and you keep missing them.
  • Mobility

    Dash

A short forward dash that gets you out of a spot where items have pinned you.

    Where it comes from
    Gem Roll
    Reach for it when
You are stuck against a pile and cannot reposition.
  • Passive economy

    Prospector

Raises what the run produces in rare items and Gems rather than moving anything itself.

    Where it comes from
    Gem Roll
    Reach for it when
Gems are your bottleneck — the index is not moving and you cannot roll abilities.
Pick by problem

Best choices by situation

This is the part of the page to actually use. Find the problem you have, take the ability in the middle column, and read the last column before you spend Gems on it.

  • You want to stop hand-pushing

    Why that one
It keeps carrying items into The Void after you stop, which is the only way collection continues while you stand still.
    What to watch
An active ability has downtime. Between casts you are back to pushing by hand.
  • Gems are the bottleneck

    Why that one
The index and the ability wheel are both paid for in Gems, and Prospector is the one that raises Gem production instead of moving items.
    What to watch
It moves nothing. Pair it with a wide pusher or it does not help your throughput at all.
  • The pile is winning

    Why that one
A wide burst clears a band of a stacked pile that a single pusher pass cannot shift.
    What to watch
Wave covers a band, not the whole platform. Corner items survive it.

The third row is deliberately missing: if the platform is empty rather than stacked, the answer is a spawn upgrade bought with Cash, not an ability. That decision lives on the upgrade order page.

Gems

Where Gems come from, and what the wheel does not tell you

Gems arrive from drops while you clear the platform, from selling spare items to the Gem Dealer, and from codes. They are the only currency the ability wheel takes, which is what makes a roll a real decision rather than a purchase.

The roll odds are not published. The wheel shows you the rarity tier of what you got, but the developer has released no drop table and no pity counter. We are not going to print percentages we cannot point at a source for — that is the one thing this page got wrong before, and it is worth more to say so plainly than to fill the gap with a number.

Cooldowns and durations are the same story. How long an ability lasts and how long you wait for the next cast are readable in game on the ability itself, and you should check them there; this page describes what each ability does rather than promising timings it cannot stand behind.

Spending

Roll now, or save for Rebirth

There are three places a Gem can go: an ability roll, the Rebirth threshold, and staying in your pocket. The choice is about which one is currently blocking you.

  • Close to a Rebirth? Take the Rebirth. It is a permanent multiplier; a roll is a random draw.
  • Index stalled, no more Gems coming? Rolling is the only way forward, and Prospector is what unblocks it.
  • Neither? Keep them. Gems do not expire, and the wheel does not get cheaper.
Questions

Ability questions

What are the ability roll odds?

The developer does not publish them. Abilities come out of the Gem Roll wheel at rarity tiers, and you can see the tier of what you got, but no drop table or pity counter has been published. Any site quoting exact percentages is quoting numbers the game never released, including this one before it was corrected.

Which ability is the best one?

There is no single best. Each one answers a different problem — Conveyor for throughput while idle, Prospector for Gem income, Wave for a stacked pile, Dash for getting unstuck. Start from the problem you actually have, which is what the table above is for.

Should I spend my Gems now or save them?

Gems compete with Rebirth. If you are close to a Rebirth threshold, the reset is usually worth more than a roll, because a roll is random and a Rebirth is a permanent multiplier. If the index is stalled and you cannot earn more Gems, rolling is the only way forward — which is why Prospector is the pick at that point.

Do I need to keep every ability I roll?

Abilities are not consumed by rolling again, so a roll you did not want is not a loss of the ability itself. What you lose is the Gem you spent. That is the argument for saving Gems until you know which problem you are solving.
